Product works very good. Our cat don want to be brushed, but needed, because she have the long hair. British long hair cat. But with this one she seems to after to do some. Specially in the morning when she want to be pet. Then i use this, and many hair comes off. You want to do more in one time, but i am already very happy that i get this much off. Wonderful, I wish I had bought it earlier. Even though my Westie doesn't let me brush her, I was able to remove a lot of dead hair and tangles that she had had for a long time. There are still some areas that need to be brushed, but you can see in the photo some of what I was able to remove on the first day. I removed more on the second day, but that photo is from one of the sessions. I gave her a few treats on the first one because she wasn't as cooperative, but on the second one I had to trick her with treats to get her to do more areas. The handle is made of plastic but seems good quality, it doesn't slip. The blade is metal and has two sides, one with the blades closer together and another with them further apart. The tips are rounded so it's not a danger and looks sturdy. If at any time it breaks, I will buy it again; it's one of the best purchases I've made in the 8 months my puppy has been with me.

It took me time to get photos with my cat, because she wasn't asking for nap cuddles until last night, which is when i brush her. She's a short hair, but her fur lays down sleek, so it's longer than you would expect. This detangling comb is perfect for getting deep smoke fur. It helped that she just groomed, because she's loosened some undercoat too. It doesn't look like much, but this was after 5 second of quickly combing. I build up a mass, then use a wire brush to collect it by brushing the loose fur off. This will be perfect for winter coat season!

Unfortunately it’s not really suitable for either of my dogs, a Sheltie and a Japanese Spitz. I actually brushed them with their normal brush after their baths then just did a trial run after that so there were no knots etc, thought I might be able to just get rid of a lot of the shedding, however, both of them reacted with a growl and snap at me even though I was holding their coat down and only lightly going over the top, but it was still pulling at their coat and it appeared to be actually pulling their coats at the skin level. I am very disappointed, I had high hopes for this brush. I have tried many, many different brushes over their lifetime and none so far seem to live up to the demonstrations in the videos. I will try it again from time to time and see if I can’t get them a bit used to it as I can see it would get rid of a lot of the shedding undercoat.
